The Hampshire Country & Garden Festival is dedicated to promoting the fun of the great outdoors and all it has to offer. We are celebrating the benefits to our health and wellbeing of gardening for all ages, healthy eating, inspiring speakers, learning new creative skills, enjoying music plus a wonderful array of childrens’ activities – in the most welcoming environment, the grounds of beautiful Bere Mill on the River Test. The Festival promotes all that is great about Hampshire, from food and drink suppliers to music, workshops and demonstrations, plant experts and nurseries. Whether you are an avid gardener or a family looking for a wholesome day out this is the event for you.
As well as a truly memorable, fun and informative experience all the money we raise is going to the North Hampshire Medical Fund which supports our local hospitals and patients in Winchester, Andover and Basingstoke. This year help us raise £18,923 for a State-of-the-art Laparoscopic Simulator and Mobile Camera/Monitor System for Gynaecology, General Surgery and Urology at Basingstoke Hospital. “The Hampshire Country & Garden Festival encompasses all that is good about Hampshire. It is a county rich in culture, history, art and literature.
A landscape of beautiful countryside and of course, gardens. Plants and flowers provide that vital connection with nature and our gardens are a refuge for wildlife and an escape from the hectic world we live in. But gardens are about those who create and tend them and I have always found that gardeners are people with real heart. They are people who care. Caring about nature and caring about each other is what really counts and that is why the Hampshire Country & Garden Festival is such a wonderful event. A Festival organised to support a worthy cause that really does make a difference, the North Hampshire Medical Fund. So enjoy the Festival, have a great day out and support a wonderful and worthwhile cause.” – Alan Titchmarsh
