At the Hampshire Garden Festival our aim is to inform and inspire you. We have a panel of wonderful gardeners ready to answer all your gardening and horticultural questions.
Please bring along your questions and dilemmas and come and listen to a lively and entertaining debate. Entry to this event as with all our talks and demonstrations is free to all festival-goers.
Chaired by well known Daily Telegraph Gardening Correspondent (Thorny Problems), Helen is a writer, lecturer and author of "Gardening in your Nightie" - she is Sussex based and passionate about small gardens, having created a pint sized beautiful garden in East Sussex.
Pippa Greenwood, Hampshire based author, TV and radio personality, regular contributor to BBC2’s Gardeners’ World and BBC Radio 4 Gardeners’ Question Time, is passionate about growing your own vegetables and herbs.
Rosy Hardy of Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants is a winner of 22 RHS Chelsea Gold Medals. Rosy designed the Brewin Dolphin show garden at Chelsea last year. She focused the design on the River Test and called the garden ‘Forever Freefolk’. Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants will be exhibiting at the Festival.
A biologist by background, Marian Spain has been the Chief Executive of Plantlife International since 2014. Plantlife is the UK’s leading wildflower charity. They look after 23 nature reserves as well as creating meadows and other plant rich habitats and helping gardeners incorporate native species into all types of garden. Her love of plants also manifests itself in enthusiastic amateur gardening on an acre of the Pang Valley in West Berkshire.
